Lab-Studio-Salon

In this video Alistair is interviewing Nathan on the three different formats crucial and core to the program that we want to build, "labs", "studios" and "salons".

🔮
"I like this pattern because it enables a movement in thought from the initial question/concept to its answer through dialog. For me it fits with the notion of dialectic as the initial identification of a tension, paradox or contradiction in thought and subsequent synthesis to a new, and more complete, and more stable concept. Such achievements of stability are only momentary, because everything learned then raises a bigger question, and so we progress from lab, to studio, to salon opening up the issue to get progressively closer to reality in thought. The process is developmental for both individual and group." - Nick Shannon

🧪 Labs

Play equal parts ‘scientist’ and ‘experiment’ to produce novel social science workshops.

🎛 Studio

Receive experts takes and feedback on your artifacts. Think natural science experience like an artist would endure with an instructor.

🏟 Salon

Participate in our public spaces to interact with the outcomes of labs and studios.

Lab Experience

In this video Nathan and I are niching the product for the Metamodern Emergentsia. We believe that we tackle the niche where we educate and bridge the "esoterics", the ones that believe that it is primarily about inner change (be it individual or cultural) vs. the ones that believe that we need systemic change.

Studio Demo

In this video Nathan takes Listenhanzi.com as an example of how "labs, studios & salons" as formats can be used.

Salon Example

Forrest Landry's performance in this video is indicative of what we mean by Salon.
